Attleboro Museum...
Dori, the curator of the Attleboro Museum, just called to informed me that my giclee went for a high bid of $550.00 in the annual benefit auction. She was very excited and said this was one of the higher bids. To bad I don't see any moo-la... She did make me a member of the museum.
She wanted me to go into a juried members show. I would have to submit work next week to be judged, and if chosen, the show is in the summer. I never received an application, (someone's screwing up), Dori apologized.
I'm already committed to this Small Works Show, Yes, I was juried in. I'm in a show at Anton Fine Art Gallery. The opening is Nov. 27th. Committed to a landscape show in February at Art Attack.
Wish I knew earlier. This Attleboro show could have held some clout? It'll have to wait till next year.
"Autumn on the Appalachian Trail" was the high bid winner!!!

The Juried Competition!
What do you do when...
I decided to place two pieces of art into the, "Small Works Juried Competition," at artSPACE@16 in Malden, MA. I just so happen to have two new works; returned after a no sale in a small show in Connecticut.
Well, it was last minute anyways, so I do a search for directions and was baffeled to find this, "gallery?" is located in a residential area. In Malden you'll find little neighborhoods with small shops and someone is always trying to start something artsy fartsy.
Oh well, just do it. I go to the drop off, all my paper work done in the car, in a fit of frenzy. Wind through the back streets to find this nice little neo classical House with a large yard and a detached HUGE two car garage.
There was a lot of activity. The atmosphere was charged... I'm only kidding.
This little competition was well advertised on line in CR and was in the MCA newsletter. Well done...
Go to the web site, very impressive! www.artspaceat16.com/
I give them credit for industry and thinking, I hate to say, outside the box.
This is something like the art I submited. Sorry, no images of the new work.
